We headed for Baja on Thursday (5-21-09) to start pre-running the official SCORE Baja 500 race course. I brought my good friends along Samuel Hubinette and Joe Parsons. They thought they were going to be passengers but I put them in the drivers seat many times over the two day excursion. My good friend Roger Malcomb brought his own pre-runner to join in with the fun.

Norman Motorsports Larry Roeseler and Roger Norman competed in this years Laughlin Leap. L.R. was driving the 1,000 horsepower #88 single seat Trophy Truck and set a new Laughlin Leap record of 161 feet 6 inches. Roger competed with the 800 horsepower two seat #8 Trophy Truck and jumped it to a distance of 151 feet.

Last week Norman Motorsports won the 2008 Baja 1000, with drivers Roger Norman and Larry Roeseler. Quite an accomplishment for a young team. I think Roger has put together a winning combination and they are well on their way to being recognized as a great team.
