The Norman Motorsports Team consists of six staff and seventy plus volunteers. Among those volunteers are the Baja Fools pit organization. They handle the major pit stops and are usually located in remote locations. Race team members drive chase vehicles, man the communications mobile command unit or travel in special fully outfitted  safety vehicles. The safety vehicles are manned with paramedics and EMT's. They have Jaws-of -Life, defibralators, etc, and are able to administer life saving drugs. Since late 2007, Norman Motorsports / Cruz Roja safety teams have saved four lives who would not have survived without immediate professional assistance and helicopter evacuation. The volunteer video and photography crews take all leftover seats available on the team to document the action. The helicopter is manned by a professional pilot and professional Emmy Award winning cinematographer. The team recently moved to a new 19,000 square foot facility in San Diego, California.
